Wonder Paws Reflection

So before we dive into this portfolio project, let's reflect on the last major project we just had. So I worked in a group of 4 to develop a brand and marketing scheme for a local pet rescue called Wonder Paws Rescue. So we started with some research on recognized organizations such as ASPCA and PetCo Foundation and based our decisions on what has worked to help these rescues gain engagement. We quickly began to approach the fundraising aspect of this project and sabotaged our branding since we made the foolish decision to just split up the work and come together in the end. But we soon realized this was flawed when we had a meeting with our teacher to check up on our progress, so back to the drawing board we were. All of the work we produced was inconsistent and reflected on how we did not properly conduct thorough research. But as we started over we were able maintain a very clean yet inviting brand. We created fundraising ideas like new shirts, a calendar and even a Pet matcher to play off of Tinder, to match with your perfect pet. Though our grade is still pending, I believe we did well and created a nice brand and some good marketing ideas for the rescue.
You may be wondering why I am even mentioning this project but it is actually relevant to the upcoming portfolio project. Along with creating the short film, we have to make a marketing plan and describe how we wish to advertise and distribute the short film. So this was essentially a practice project before the real deal. Some things I will take away from this project is to take things one at a time and to do as much research as possible. This past project could have made a better grade with much more research and having even more evidence based decisions. Here is our standalone in case you want a better understanding of the finished product.
