Instead, I think we should focus on colors of growth in our website and postcard because the main premise of our story is how the main character uses painting as an outlet due to her familial distance.
Color psychology plays a large role in this and we briefly learned about it last year in the AS Level.
We can aid in displaying the character's emotion through the colors of paint she uses. She may start out drawing with various shades of blue (creating a somber tone), progressively getting darker as she comes closer to realizing the severity of the abuse in her family. But as she grows and learns to stay away from the arguments and control her anger she begins to paint with more earthy greens that relate to growth and healing. Purple can also be incorporated to reveal how that growth has brought her wisdom in becoming a better person through the painting.
